Temple History Or SthalaPuranam:

 

In the year 1952  Brahmasri Sistla Chandramouli Sastry Garu consecrated Sri VeerAnjaneya Swamy Temple for the protection of people in and around Pedapadu village from fire accidents, viral fevers, Thefts and other mundane problems that people use to suffer frequently.

 

Biography of Sistla Chandramouli Sastry:

 

Brahmasri Sistla Chandramouli Sastry Garu(1889-1987) was an illustrious scholar in Sanskrit, Telugu, and in Indian Tradition & Culture. Sastryji had visited several notable places across the country and collected significant information about the historic events that took place in the Indian Tradition.

 

He wrote 5 books in Telugu, namely

 

1. Sunder Hanumath Vaibhavam,

2. Hanuman Mantra Anusthan Prakashika,

3. Hanumadvilasamu,

4. Hanumath Prastishta Kalpamu, and

5. Hanuman Jayanthi Pradashina Kalpamu.

 

In 1935, the then  Madras High Court Judge Sir Vepa Ramesham Pantulu honoured him for his excellence in Science of Mantras (phonetics) .

 

He was honored with the title of “Mantra Shastra Praveena” by Mysore Maharaja in the year 1940.

 

During the second world war in 1940s the then Madras Governor requested him to conduct special rituals for victory of Britain. After the victory he was honored with a gold medal for his contribution towards victory.

 

In 1941, he was invited to Travancore Samsthan, where he was honored by Maharaja for his knowledge in Mantra Shastra with a gold medal.

 

In 1945, Pithapuram Maharaja honoured sastryji in presence of madras mayor M. RadhaKrishna pillie for his speech on the Indian tradition and culture. 

 

In 1947, Hyderabad Prime Minister Sir. Mirza Ismail had honoured him.

 

In 1954 Chief Minister B. RamaKrishna Rao wrote a letter to then deputy speaker Lok Sabha Sri Ananthasayanam Iyengar explaining the great knowledge possessed by Sastryji on the Science of Mantra Sastra.

 

In the year 1956, the President of India Dr. Rajendra Prasad had attended the popular bhashanam delivered by Sastryji on the Indian Tradition & Culture at Balaji Bhawan in Hyderabad along with the then Chief Minister B.  RamaKrishna Rao.

 

In the year 1962, the former Minister for Law & Information of the State of Andhra Pradesh  Sri P. V. Narasimha Rao had inaugurated the book “Sunder Hanumath Vaibhavam” written by Sastryji. On this occasion he was honored by Sri Burgula Ramakrishna Rao with a Gold kankana.

 

In 1962 Sastryji was requested to conduct rituals to support India in India-China war.

 

In the year 1964 Sastryji was invited to puttaparthi by Satya Sai Baba to give discourse on Mantra Shastra. After that Sastryji was honoured as Prashanti Vidwan Mahasabha Kendra Pandit .

 

In the year 1965 President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan gave appointment to Sastryji to meet him at his residence at Bolaram Hyderabad to have access of sastryji knowledge on Science of Mantras (phonetics).

 

In the year 1969 President of  India V. V. Giri gave him an appointment to meet him at his residence at Bolaram Hyderabad to know Sastryji’s contribution towards Indian tradition & culture. Sastryji was requested by many organisations to deliver lectures on various topics that have major role in Indian Tradition & Culture at various places like, Bangalore, Madras (Chennai), Nellore, Vijayawada, Hyderabad,  Puttaparthi etc.

 

In the year 1981, the Andhra Pradesh Government’s Sanskrutika Department had honoured sastryji.

 

In 1983 the Queen of Buckingham palace send a letter thanking sastryji for his blessings.
